Durufle: Requiem and other pieces

This requiem (opus 9) is undoupted a masterpiece of choral literature and is an intensely moving and personal setting of the requiem text. It is entirely based on plainchant, but richly adorned with sumptuous harmonies and gorgeous orchestration. Duruflé wrote it in memory of his father. We will be singing this masterpiece accompanied by an organ along with other few beautiful pieces.
