Friday, 2. November 2018, 06:00pm
Hits : 200

This requiem (opus 9) is undoupted a masterpiece of choral literature and is an intensely moving and personal setting of the requiem text. It is entirely based on plainchant, but richly adorned with sumptuous harmonies and gorgeous orchestration. Duruflé wrote it in memory of his father. We will be singing this masterpiece together with the Belvárosi Kántorátus, Premi Cantores-Gödöllő and the Albertfalvi Énekes Iskola.

Reviews

"Thank you for the Mass on Sunday. It was astonishing to hear the Anglican repertoire sung with such excellence so far from home. I have been writing to choir people back in England about it"

Bravissimo!
